Celebration!! and other things :)

all i can say is WOWWWWEEEEEE!!!!!!! the weekend was amazing, everything about it. My favourite part was probably the savvy spotlights, what some people have acheived with their horses is incredible. Mikey and Rachel put on such an amazing performance! Linda's lesson on Goyani was brilliant, Walter Zettl is a hero for all dressage horses, amazing man. Seeing Pat work with the rachorse Tippy was great, he did really well with him and both me and my mum (possibly everyone there!) were amazed as the horse that 'wouldnt load' was ridden bareback into the trailer by pat! wow!

While i was there i bought all 4 new levels, as they were introduced for the first time on saturday and there was a special introductory price... £199 for the whole lot!!! Very impressed! I've started watching the level 1/2 dvds and liking what i see!

Had a play with Holly and General last night and they were both great, i must admit i was a little nervous as general hasnt been ridden for best part of three weeks due to the weather and horrid start to winter, so i played on the ground for a bit then hopped on bareback and he was good as gold. i even.. wait for it.. did my first trot bareback!! this might not sound like much but believe me, on a 6 year old ex racehorse who has the BOUNCIEST stride imaginable, its huge!! i was so proud of him! he stayed nice and steady for me (think he knew i was nervous lol) and it was actually quite comfortable :) happy days!!

Winter..

hardly getting any play time with the horses, by the time i get home from school its almost dark and i dont have a lighted area to play in. so have been spending lots of undemanding time this week!! Both have seemed to like their 'week off' and enjoying all the grooming and fuss they are getting haha.

ah well, off to the celebration tomorrow!! cannot wait!! pictures will be up i promise!

Bad Weather :(

Weather was AWFUL today!! i hardly got any playtime in with the horses, I took General in the school on line for a while but it was really windy and started to rain, he got excited so i got him calm then brought him back in. Holly had the wind up her bum tonight when we brought her in.. she was being all spooky and right brained and she pulled away from us and cantered across the yard :S NOT GOOD! She came back though but was scared to stay in her stable because the wind was whistling through the gap in the roof. Poor girl!
I really hope the weather is better tomorrow so I can get some proper playtime in!
